What is the difference between an event planner and an event coordinator?
Event planning generally indicates that I would create the design and process decisions on details of your event start to finish. Coordinating would then be the job of ensuring that the event runs smoothly and that all decisions are executed to your specifications. Bunny May offers packages that leave room for both options, but I have found that as people get more excited about their celebrations they really enjoy being a part of the design and decision making process, and coordination becomes a greater need.
Do I have to pay you to ask questions?
In order to ensure that we would like to work together, I highly encourage an initial consultation before booking any services. All initial consultations are absolutely free! We will meet in person, or over Skype if necessary, and get to know each other while discussing the details of your requested service. I can specialize almost anything to your specific needs, so don't be afraid to ask!
If you just need great advice to advance the event you are planning, schedule an ask the expert session and spend an hour for a reasonable price to learn all you might want to know.
How far in advance do I have to book you?
Bookings are based on availability. I request that you think as far ahead as possible and at least meet with me so I can temporarily reserve time for you. I do reserve the right to deny requests that I feel will not provide adequate time to generate the best possible results. Concierge services must have at least 48 hours notice.
What is included in a first consultation?
A first consultation is a no-pressure meeting where both the client and the owner get an opportunity to meet and discuss the needs or desires they have in mind. It is important for us to feel comfortable working together and that the opportunity for questions is made available. I have no expectation that you must book at the end of our meeting, but that opportunity will also be available to you. In any case, my main priority is to generate a feeling of relief or excitement as it is deemed appropriate.
Do you have references?
I do have a list of references that I can make available to you following an initial consultation.
Do you only work locally?
Concierge services are generally only operated at a local level. It is difficult to provide such services on a shorter notice. Wedding and event coordination can be made available. Travel expenses may factor into the event's overall cost.
What qualifications do you have?
I have been working in the professional events field for 15+ years both privately and publicly. I have a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant & Resort Management, which is often referred to as Hospitality Management. I also own a Master of Management in Business Management. I am confident my education and broad background field experience can assist you in your requests.
Do you have a preferred list of vendors?
I have a list of vendors that I work with often, and that I trust to do different duties. I am happy to share some of those names with my clients as you are interested or in need of a vendor space to be filled. This does not mean that I won't work with your selected vendors. Please feel free to choose any vendors you would like to at your leisure. Any concerns can be discussed during consultation.
What are your rates?
For wedding and special events, I have tiered packages available for you to select from. These packages are designed to give you options and cater to the specific outcomes you would like to experience. Concierge services tend to be standardized based on the assistance items you are requesting. Concierge services may also be bundled to provide some price deductions.
